Methodology — how we evaluate financial products
Kreddo.pl applies a transparent methodology based on objective financial criteria. Rankings are created on the basis of product parameters (APR, fees, cashback), without affiliate remuneration influencing position. Data is updated every month.
Our values
Kreddo.pl is an independent financial product comparison portal. Our mission is to help people make informed financial decisions through reliable comparisons, transparent rankings and financial education.
We are guided by three principles:
- Independence — affiliate remuneration does not affect ranking position
- Transparency — we publish evaluation criteria and data sources
- Currency — data is updated every month, and immediately when changes occur
How we create rankings
Every ranking on Kreddo.pl is based on a multi-criteria scoring evaluation. Below we describe the methodology for each product category.
Loans and payday loans
We evaluate non-bank loans according to the following criteria:
- APR (30%) — Annual Percentage Rate, the main indicator of loan cost
- Accessibility (20%) — borrower requirements, minimum age, documents
- Disbursement speed (20%) — time from application to receipt of funds
- Flexibility (15%) — option to extend, early repayment, range of amounts
- Company credibility (15%) — KNF registration, customer reviews, time on the market
Cash loans
- APR (30%) — total loan cost per year
- Nominal interest rate (20%) — base rate affecting the instalment amount
- Commission (20%) — one-off fee for granting the loan
- Flexibility (15%) — range of amounts and periods, option for overpayments
- Application process (15%) — online availability, decision time
Credit cards
- Annual fee (25%) — annual cost of card ownership
- Cashback (25%) — percentage of transaction value returned
- Interest-free period (20%) — length of free purchase financing
- Credit limit (15%) — maximum available amount
- Additional benefits (15%) — insurance, loyalty programmes
Insurance
- Scope of cover (30%) — what is covered by the policy, what exclusions apply
- Premium price (25%) — annual or monthly cost
- Sum insured (20%) — maximum compensation amount
- Claims handling (15%) — speed and quality of claim settlement
- Customer reviews (10%) — average rating from trusted sources
Data sources
We obtain comparison data from the following sources:
- Official websites of banks and lending companies
- Fee and commission schedules published by financial institutions
- General Insurance Conditions (GIC) of insurance companies
- Register of lending institutions of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF)
- Data from the National Bank of Poland (NBP) — interest rates, exchange rates
- Data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS) — inflation, average wages
Business model
Kreddo.pl earns through affiliate commissions. When a user clicks a link to a financial product and submits an application, we may receive remuneration from the financial institution.
Important: affiliate remuneration does not affect product ranking position. Rankings are created solely on the basis of the objective parameters described above. Products for which we receive no remuneration may rank higher than partner products.
Editorial process
Every piece of content on Kreddo.pl goes through the following process:
- Research — analysis of current offers, collection of data from official sources
- Creation — writing by a financial expert
- Verification — checking numerical and factual data
- Publication — publishing on the site with the date of last update
- Update — monthly review of data currency
